Machine Builder RoleCleveland, OH, United StatesAbout the JobMachine builders assemble machinery based on blueprints and schematics using hand and power tools.Shift Details:First shift hours: 6:45 am to 3:15 pmOvertime: Based on business needs, paid for time worked over 40 hours per weekPayroll: Paid weekly each FridayRate of pay: Based on prior work experience and schoolingTravel: Some limited travel may be expected to service or set up machinesBenefits:Full benefits package offeredEssential Functions:Read blueprints and schematics to identify proper partsStand, sit, and climb in and around the machine to assemble itCut and prepare belts, chains, and hydraulic hosesIdentify and install correct parts in or under the frame, pumps, valves, manifolds, fittings (air or hydraulic), measuring, making, and installing hosesIdentify and assemble drive components, including mounting motors and couplings to gearboxes and mounting in a frameClimb in and out or under a frame multiple times while bending and stooping during the assembly processAssemble the installation of rolls, gears, electrical panels, and associated parts, dragging, threading, breaking, and connecting all items to the standsCompletely assemble, troubleshoot, and test machinesProvide service, setup, and startup functions at customer job sitesSome limited travel expected with a shift differential of 15% for service travel, including portal-to-portal hours and paid expensesQualifications:Lift a maximum of 25 poundsAbility to read blueprintsUse and read tape measures, torque wrenches, and measuring instrumentsOperate a fork truck and overhead craneAdapt methods and ideas for continuous improvementGood verbal and written communication skillsValid drivers license and background allowing for domestic and occasional international service travel (Canada and Mexico)Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Demands:Regularly required to standFrequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hearOccasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsSpecific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusWork Environment:Regularly exposed to moving mechanical partsNoise level: Usually moderateReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
