Job Title
Responsibilities:
Creates build plans and coordinates labor with team leads
Sets daily production goals and holds team accountable to those goals
Oversees training of new machine builders, completing documentation when necessary
Collects, analyzes, and presents data for the SQDC boards
Initiates disciplinary action as necessary
Enforces all policies and procedures
Train new hires on job processes including crane, rigging, and forklift
Provide input on performance reviews and employee relation issues
Complete floor layouts
Requirements:
10+ years of machine building experience
Thorough knowledge of blueprints, schematics
Previous experience leading a team or mentoring employees
Thorough knowledge of shop math skills including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Team oriented; ability to communicate effectively and get along with fellow employees
Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
Ability to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends required
Extremely detailed oriented
Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills
Able to multitask and have a high level of organizational skills
Able to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
Must be able to use power tools and have own hand tools
Computer skills in Excel, Word and email
$38-44/hr
