Licensed Vocational Nurse (Specialty Clinic Float Pool)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (Specialty Clinic Float Pool) will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families according to their identified needs. This care is delivered under the supervision of a physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, clinical coordinator or registered nurse and is guided by the documented nursing care plan. Nursing care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment. The Licensed Vocational Nurse will deliver care as directed across specialty clinics according to need with a team-orientation/approach, an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or met the educational requirements to test for licensure.
  • Current permit or license to practice vocational nursing in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS.
  • PALS Certification within 2 years of hire and other certifications as necessary in certain areas in the Specialty Clinics and Medical Center.
