Weekend Nursing Care Position
This position involves providing nursing care to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities on a weekend schedule. The role requires adherence to facility policies and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ health status and monitor vital signs regularly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, residents, and families.
- Ensure infection control and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain professional appearance by wearing identification badges and following facility guidelines.
Qualifications
- Hold a valid LVN or LPN license in the state.
- Have reliable personal transportation; public transit options are limited.
- Demonstrate experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Be able to work every weekend with necessary prior approval for time off.
- Complete required COVID-19 vaccination or hold approved exemption documentation.
- Bring a valid state or federal ID to shift and wear a photo badge at all times.
