LVN – Caring Hands ISS Program

Caring Hands ISS is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Caring Hands ISS Program, which provides individualized skills and socialization services to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

This is a great opportunity for an LVN looking for a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule and a role where you can build relationships with the individuals you serve.

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing support to individuals attending the day program.
• Monitor individuals' health and recognize changes in condition.
• Administer and monitor medications as required.
• Provide first aid and respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical concerns.
• Communicate with guardians, families, physicians, pharmacies, residential staff, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain accurate nursing and medication documentation.
• Follow physician orders, individual health needs, and nursing care instructions.
• Assist staff with understanding individual medical needs and health-related procedures.
• Provide health and medication-related training to staff when needed.
• Coordinate and follow up on medical concerns and appointments when needed.
• Help maintain a safe and healthy environment for the individuals we support.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN license in good standing.
• Experience working with adults with IDD is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Comfortable working with individuals who may have complex medical or communication needs.
