This contract-to-hire role offers an opportunity to contribute as a Long Term Care Pharmacist serving skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care patients. The position requires a dedicated pharmacist to ensure accurate medication dispensing and provide clinical support within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Work Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• MondayFriday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM 3:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for various care facilities
• Review blister-packed medications, as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions
• Count controlled substances and accurately document in the perpetual inventory system
• Inspect emergency medication boxes to ensure they are stocked and compliant

Required Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; long term care experience preferred
• Proficient in operating pharmacy software systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC
• Capable of sitting, standing, with fine motor skills and visual acuity; able to lift up to 30 pounds
