Job Details

• Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long-Term Care
• Location: Waterloo, NY
• Setting: Long-term care / skilled nursing facility
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Schedule: Full-time evenings, 5x8s
• Shift Duration: 8-hour evening shifts
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,500 - $1,580
• Duration: 23 weeks
• Orientation: Must be available to start full-shift orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday coverage required; must be able to work through the holiday season
• Rotation: Day, evening, night, and weekend rotations may apply

Job Requirements

• Active New York LPN license
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI only
• At least 1 year of LPN experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility or skilled nursing environment
• Ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced resident care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to assigned residents
• Collect and report ongoing physical and psychosocial assessment data to the RN and interdisciplinary care team
• Support the development and implementation of individualized resident care plans
• Collaborate with residents, families, nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff to promote positive patient outcomes
• Reinforce a safe, healthy, and age-appropriate care environment in the long-term care setting
• Recommend updates to care plans based on resident response and changing needs
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and clinical competency through education and in-service participation
• Assist with mentoring and orientation of staff as directed
• Follow all policies, procedures, and infection control standards in the care setting
• Practice safely in an environment with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues
