Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides outpatient and inpatient therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Delivers patient-centered care, assists with treatment plans, and supports rehabilitation goals while ensuring compliance with established standards of care.Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant programCurrent Mississippi Physical Therapist Assistant licensurePreferred QualificationsPrevious inpatient and outpatient therapy experience preferredEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesObserve and evaluate patient condition and report findings appropriatelyAssist in development and implementation of patient plan of care under supervision of Physical TherapistAssess and manage patient pain appropriatelyProvide patient and caregiver education regarding therapy, safety, and infection controlDevelop and document patient goals and progressFollow discharge planning processes and complete required documentationCommunicate patient updates to physician and healthcare team accurately and timelyMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standardsParticipate in team-based care delivery and support organizational goalsAttend required in-services, training, and meetingsMaintain compliance with legal, ethical, and clinical practice standardsAdhere to infection control protocols and standard precautionsFollow physician/provider orders and perform additional duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive physical movementsAbility to perform overhead lifting and patient handling activitiesAbility to assist patients with mobility and therapeutic exercisesAll candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position.
