Job Summary

Screen patients, take vital signs, administer injections, review medication list, assist clinician with exams, maintain patient flow. Handle orders, documentation, and sign out. Conduct telephone interactions under supervision of clinician or RN, handle prescription renewals, enter/edit labs, maintain communication between clinician and patient. Provide written patient education materials. Maintain exam rooms, stock rooms with supplies, clean instruments, and inventory.

Incoming consults and outgoing referrals: Set up appointments, arrange patient testing, obtain authorization and referrals for insurance, obtain patient information and test results from other areas. Maintain medical charts, flow sheets, forms, and process insurance forms. Perform scanning and abstraction. Provide backup/coverage to other office staff as needed (clerical or nursing depending on training/access).

Complete and maintain Epic training and proficiency at all nursing desks (triage, referrals, authorizations, intake, MUEs, barriers to care, insurance verification, infusion processes, clinic staff nurse).

Minimum Qualifications

NYS licensed/registered LPN. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of related experience. Previous experience in an outpatient care setting is preferred. Work Days: Monday - Friday daytime hours.

Salary Range: $20.48 - $34.22 per hour
