DESCRIPTION
General Function: The clinic nurse provides nursing care of clinic patients as directed by the Nurse Practitioner and the Medical Office Manager. The clinic nurse follows established clinic standards, procedures, and practices in providing optimal patient care to the community residents.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
Licensed LPN (if employee is an LPN and not a medical assistant)
CPR Certification (if employee is an LPN and not a medical assistant)
Experience Requirements:
Two years in a medical office.
JOB RELATED HAZARDS: Most job functions will take place in an air-conditioned office with little exposure to hazardous or infectious materials. Customer contact may cause some exposure to infection. There is long hours of standing. Some possible lifting, stooping, and pushing may be necessary.
