Job Title
The ideal candidate needs to be an LPN or a medical assistant.
Essential Functions
• Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
• Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
• Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Adheres to the clinical services policies and procedures when documenting information in patient's medical records.
• Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician's office.
• Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of the office.
Requirements
LPN Specialist requirements are:
• Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. Must possess an active Florida license as a licensed practical nurse.
• Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a licensed practical nurse.
Medical Assistant Specialist requirements are:
• Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or 1 year of medical assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical assistant certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
• Additional Qualification: 1 year experience in primary care setting. Current BLS certification or to be completed within three months of employment.
