Position Summary:
- Assures and assists in provision of optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patients and family.
- Coordinates patient care with registered nurse and other departments.
- Assists the physician.
- Performs data collection and obtains patient information.
- Assists the RN with patient care.
- Intervenes with appropriate action after needs are identified.
- Evaluates the assignment, planning and intervention process.
- Demonstrates professional and personal development.
- Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately to patients, utilizing appropriate policies and procedures.
Minimum Education
Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.
Required Licenses(West Virginia, United States) Other
Current licensure by the WV State LPN Board
