LPN Position

Location: Lancaster, NH Contract: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours days shift Pay rate: $48/hour Stipend: $1162 Non Taxable Taxable: $758 on W2 Total Gross: $1920/weekly

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: LPNs are responsible for providing basic care to patients. This includes tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and assisting with personal hygiene.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: LPNs regularly check and record vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature. They also report any abnormal readings to the healthcare team.
  • Medication Administration: LPNs administer prescribed medications and injections, and they may also educate patients about their medications, including dosage and potential side effects.
  • Wound Care: They clean and dress wounds, ulcers, and other skin conditions. LPNs may also assist with more complex wound care procedures under the direction of a healthcare provider.
  • Observation and Reporting: LPNs observe patients for any changes in their condition and report these observations to the healthcare team. This includes changes in mental status, physical condition, or behavior.
  • Documentation: They maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, interventions, and progress notes. This documentation is crucial for providing quality care and for legal purposes.
  • Assisting with Procedures: LPNs may assist with various medical procedures, such as catheter insertion, IV starts, and specimen collection. They ensure that equipment is prepared and sterilized appropriately.
  • Patient Education: They provide patients and their families with information on managing their health conditions, understanding medications, and making healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team: LPNs work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
