LPN Position at Turning Point Care Center
Turning Point Care Center is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work the night shift in our men's programs. The LPN promotes a therapeutic milieu and provides quality patient care. Collaborate with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. In addition, duties may include:
- Patient assessments
- Medication administration
- Medication education
- Provide direct patient care
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Maintain accurate and complete data and records
- Perform observation rounds
- Communicate therapeutically and age appropriately
- Intervene with suicidal gestures, inappropriate behaviors, elopements, etc., using proper CPI technique
- Therapeutically communicate with patients
- Assists in developing appropriate boundaries and helps to develop social skills
- Direct/redirect behaviors, demonstrating appropriate behavioral consequences
- Respond appropriately to impulsivity issues as they relate to age specific criteria
- Recognize and communicate the physical and psychological status of the patients under their care
This position's days and hours will vary based on a rotational schedule. This position qualifies for shift differential pay. Night shifts are from 5:30pm - 6:00am. Join our team and discover a rewarding, fulfilling career.

Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience with psychiatric, trauma, or substance abuse patients, preferred
- Licensed in good standing by the State of Georgia – LPN required
- CPR certification required (training provided)
- Crisis Prevention (CPI) required (training provided)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
