- Position summary:
- Assist physicians and staff for general patient care and clerical duties in a physician office/OP setting. Demonstrates initiative to take appropriate action in day-to-day activities without being prompted. Able to problem solve and stay current with Healthcare and payor regulations.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High school graduate, minimum;
- Preferred: Certification from approved school with certificate in Medical assisting .
- Preferred: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and current licensure of Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- Required length and type of experience:
- Medical terminology/previous healthcare experience in outpatient setting preferred.
- Comprehensive training will be provided.
- Experience in an orthopedic or related clinical setting preferred, including familiarity with orthopedic devices and general patient education throughout the course of care.
- Required licensure, certification or registry:
- CPR certification required.
- Preferred: Current Medical Assisting certification.
- Preferred: Current license as a Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio.
