Unit Notes Unit - Home Health "Mileage will not be paid. This is an all-inclusive bill rate***" Required Certifications: BLS, valid Drivers License & Insurance Common diagnosis / Types of patients/patient demographics: wound care, wound vacs, new ostomies, post surgical wounds. No Peds. A lot of cardiac patients, CHF, pneumonia, IV antibiotics with PICC line care, labs. Additional Job Duties/Utilization Review involved? No UR required. These positions will be direct patient care field staff only RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): No vents, Patients may have Cpap but we don't really do anything with those. Only RT equipment really is oxygen, and nebulizers Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have HomeCare HomeBase experience which is our EHR. Experience with woundvacs, ostomies, wound care in general. How many patients do they see per day? We do go by a point system. RNs see up to 5 routines a day LVNS see up to 7. We will not have them doing SOCS or recerts just routine visits. Manager/Supervisor: We have 2 supervisors, both work Monday thru Friday 8-5. We have administrator on call. Currently have an Interim Manager. Home Health/Hospice Aids? We recently hired a HHA but only have a few patients requiring a HHA Travelers would not be expected to bathe patients Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Monday thru Friday 8-5pm with an hour for lunch. No weekends no holidays. They will not be case managing so no patient scheduling required. Weekend Requirements: No weekends Holiday Requirements: No holidays Is there a call or standby requirement? No on call or stand by required Floating Requirements: No floating required. This is a home health position. No hospice care required. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are not required. Regular clothing is acceptable as long as it is neat and appropriate. Unit/Department specific orientation: Orient to home health only. They will have a preceptor assigned for orientation. We expect to only give them a week of orientation at most. Additional Notes: Redding is a rural community located in far northern California. We have great recreational opportunities, mountains, lakes lots of wilderness. We are located about 4 hour drive north of San Francisco and about 2 hours north of Sacramento. We staff our agency with RNs LVNs, PT, OT, and social worker. They will chart on a Samsung tablet and will be issued a cell phone as well.
