Infection Preventionist - LPN/LVN

Join our clinical team as an Infection Preventionist - LPN/LVN! Under the direction of an RN, you will be responsible for one or multiple centers Infection Prevention and Control Program and will function as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator, and facilitator for all staff focusing on the following areas: Infection Prevention - Control Activities, Outbreak Management, Employee Health, and Outcome - Process Surveillance. The latter includes identifying, investigating, analyzing, controlling, and reporting infections.

Qualifications:

The Infection Preventionist -- LPN/LVN must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current practical or vocational nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control. A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required and a minimum of two years of nursing experience in long-term care nursing with one year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity is preferred. Previous experience in infection prevention and control is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.
