- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments as ordered and within scope of practice.
- Perform clinical procedures including specimen collection, EKGs, wound care, dressing changes, and point-of-care testing.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes or concerns to the provider.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, follow-up care, and preventive health measures.
- Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prescription refills, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment according to infection control and safety standards.
- Follow clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and infection prevention protocols.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies within the clinic setting.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings as required.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, families, providers, and staff.
- Assist with orientation and training of new clinical staff.
- Support front office operations during periods of high patient volume.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards applicable to outpatient care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software.
- Understanding of clinical procedures and medication administration protocols.

- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of South Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred; outpatient or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail for extended periods.

- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials consistent with a healthcare environment.
- Outpatient medical clinic environment with frequent patient interaction.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, and medical equipment.
- Fast-paced setting requiring flexibility and teamwork.
