- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
- The Licensed Practical Nurse supports the nursing process and functions under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse must adhere to policy and procedure for Berkshire Medical Center clinical services.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- One year of LPN experience required
- Surgical procedure experience preferred.
- Education and Training:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurses
- CPR
- Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice.
- Able to provide a high level of customer service to meet patient experience standards and expectations for the Family Birthplace.
