Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a short-term rehab unit specializing in wound care, orthopedic, and cardiac recovery. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in managing complex patient needs, while providing exceptional care in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Admit and discharge patients, ensuring a smooth transition of care
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including wound vacs and PICC line care
- Provide patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery
- Perform assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a similar setting
- Valid New York RN License required
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- BLS certification required
