Job Description
Join WCS Healthcare Partners as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Behavioral Health, where you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to patients with behavioral health needs. This role offers flexible hours with a minimum of 10 hours guaranteed each week, extending up to 20 hours. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients through direct care and collaboration with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and preparing exam rooms, with knowledge of medication, pre-op, and post-op steps.
- Providing surgical assistance and maintaining medication control lists.
- Documenting accurately and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain an efficient pace in the OR to avoid delays and ensure rapid room turnover.
- Facilitates and ensures patient preparedness for surgery.
- Communicates and prioritizes efficiently and effectively.
- Assist the anesthesia provider during the induction and emergence from anesthesia.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active RN license in the state of practice (or willingness to obtain).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum 2 years of clinic or ambulatory care experience preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
