LPN Position

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures. The LPN functions as a partner to the Registered Nurse with the goal of providing quality patient care. The LPN responsibilities include collecting data, implementing and evaluating nursing care. Education: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) is required. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have a valid unrestricted license with the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Licensure/Certification: LPN license for the State of Ohio. Current BLS required.

Experience: One to three years experience specific to acute care or Health System preferred.

Skills: Must have excellent customer service skills, including the ability to exhibit patience and tact with all constituents including physicians, patients and associates. Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be on call per department requirements. Be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress. Must have basic computer skills and EMR (electronic medical records) experience. Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately. Possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics and follow instructions. Must have reliable transportation. Must be current on credentialing.
