We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician to join our team! You will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage electrical and communication systems in commercial and industrial buildings. Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A, coaxial, and fiber-optic cable.
- Install and service security systems, access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and alarm systems.
- Install structured cabling, network equipment, patch panels, racks, and cable management systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, cable testers, tone generators, certification testers, and other specialized equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, security, or networking is a plus
- Basic understanding of electrical and networking principles.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and construction drawings is a plus.
- Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated areas.
- Ability to lift equipment and cable and perform physical work for extended periods.
- Relevant certifications such as BICSI, manufacturer certifications, or state/local low-voltage credentials are a plus.
