We are seeking a Low Voltage Security Technician to install, service, and maintain a variety of electronic security systems. This role involves working in commercial environments and supporting system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and service low voltage systems including:
- Access control
- CCTV / video surveillance
- Intrusion detection / alarm systems
- Run, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, etc.)
- Mount and configure devices such as cameras, readers, panels, and sensors
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform repairs as needed
- Read and interpret basic drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards
- Provide basic training or support to end users when needed
- Experience working with low voltage or security systems preferred
- Basic knowledge of wiring, networking, and electronic systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
- Experience with systems such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Honeywell, etc.
- Industry certifications (NICET, ESA, manufacturer certs)
- Experience in commercial construction or service environments
