Low Voltage Lead TechnicianThe Low Voltage Lead Technician plays a key role in onsite project coordination within commercial construction environments. Reporting to the Project Foreman and Project Manager, this role ensures structured cabling projects stay on track by managing daily tasks, supervising crews, and meeting project goals.Join a team that connects people through technology. With AI, remote work, and digital transformation accelerating, now is the time to build your future with LINX.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise assigned projects, directing the work of 5+ technicians and ensuring daily goals are met.Plan site manpower needs and manage material and labor through job completion.Set crew objectives, track progress, and report updates to management.Ensure compliance with HR, safety, and company policies while meeting project deadlines.Maintain technical, quality, and profitability standards, ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.Oversee account coordination, including direct customer interaction and issue resolution.Prepare and communicate status reports, keeping customers and Project Managers informed.Minimum RequirementsExpertise in cabling standards with the ability to lead projects, delegate tasks, and supervise teams of 5+ technicians.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and managing all aspects of project planning.Strong communication skills (verbal) with a focus on accurate timesheet management and efficiency.Terminate jacks, patch panels, 66/110 blocks, and follow 568A/B color codes.Use Fluke testers to verify connections and troubleshoot voice/data issues.Install and configure switches, routers, modems, and wireless access points.Work with category cable, COAX, fiber (RG6, RG11, RG59), build out closets, and operate Hilti guns, hammer drills, band saws, and power tools.Ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder.Must own low voltage tools (strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insuranceProfessional working proficiency in EnglishPreferred Certifications (not required)BICSI Technician or Installation CertificationOSHA 10Powder Actuated Tools CertificationConfined Space CertificationCPR and First Aid certifiedManufacturers certifications for Installation and MaintenanceLift CertifiedHigh School diploma, Associate's degree or technical degree a plusPay Rate: $24.00 - $35.00/ hrTEAMLINX offers great benefits including:401K with 50% employer match up to first 5%Insurance options including medical plans with Flexible Spending and/or Health Savings Accounts, Disability, Dental and Vision8 Paid Holidays3 weeks Paid Time Off (PTO) combining sick pay and vacation daysCareer growth opportunitiesThis is an evergreen posting, and applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis as hiring needs arise.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in the workplace.
