Responsibilities
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label fire alarm cable.
- Test all installed cable using appropriate testing equipment.
- Terminate fire alarm panels and devices.
- Read and interpret fire alarm system layouts from blueprints.
- Troubleshoot and service existing fire alarm systems.
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights).
- Install and support additional low voltage systems as needed at commercial and industrial sites (schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, etc.).
Requirements
- 3+ years demonstrated work history/knowledge in Fire Alarm Systems.
- Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements (current codes).
- Experience troubleshooting panels, devices, and programming systems (Edwards, Silent Knight, FireLite, etc. a plus).
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus.
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Indianapolis, IN, and the surrounding areas as needed.
