Position Overview
In this role as a Low-Voltage Technician / Nurse Call System Installer , your primary focus will be Jeron Electronic Systems . You will manage the end-to-end installation, setup, validation, and maintenance of vital communication infrastructure within various healthcare settings, including hospitals and assisted living facilities throughout the area.
Primary Obligations
- Deployment & Upgrades: Wire, mount, and terminate legacy and Provider series Jeron systems in both active medical facilities and new construction sites.
- Component Installation: Set up master stations, call points, pillow speakers, and corridor lighting according to blueprints and riser diagrams.
- Cabling Expertise: Manage labeling and termination for fiber optic, plenum-rated, and CAT5/6 cabling.
- Integration & Programming: Set up system software for zone and staff assignments, ensuring seamless integration with EMR, telephony, and RTLS platforms.
- Testing & Instruction: Perform comprehensive system troubleshooting before handover and conduct basic operational training for facility personnel.
Your Professional Profile
Core Requirements:
- Jeron Systems: hands-on experience preferred but not necessary with the Provider 790, 700, or comparable Nurse Call platforms.
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 2+ years dedicated to installing healthcare communication or nurse call systems.
- Technical Skillset: Highly proficient in low-voltage termination and wiring, with the ability to accurately interpret electrical floor plans and schematics.
- Compliance & Access: Ability to satisfy strict healthcare facility requirements, including a successful background check and drug screening.
- Physical Mobility: Capable of navigating crawl spaces or ceilings, working from ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable Logistics: Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for essential job site travel.
Desired Qualifications (Valued Extras):
- Active NICET certification in Electronic Safety & Security or Fire Alarm.
- Experience with diverse platforms such as Cornell, Ascom, or Rauland.
- Knowledge of CMS and Joint Commission compliance protocols.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Work Environment & Logistics
- Professional Atmosphere: Assignments take place in active healthcare settings where high standards of conduct and respect are mandatory.
- Availability: Standard Monday through Friday operations with occasional on-call requirements for emergency service needs.
- Travel: Frequent travel within the continental US.
