Low Observable (LO) Design and Integration Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior)The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works organization in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a Low Observable (LO) Design and Integration Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to support design, analysis, and propulsion subsystem integration of the study of Maxwell's equations and their application to the analysis and design of devices and systems like materials, treatments, and architectures.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electromagnetic (EM) materials and technologies, demonstrated experience integrating electromagnetic solutions, and a strong understanding of electromagnetic (EM) principles affecting a number of aircraft systems and technologies, along with practical experience using computational electromagnetic (CEM) solvers to design, predict, and optimize systems.Position Responsibilities:Perform design, analysis, and integration activities for electromagnetics (EM)Use computational electromagnetic (CEM) solvers to model and analyzeApply electromagnetic theory to assess materials, shapes, and structural features that affect aircraft systemsDefine and execute test plans and validation activities (lab and range) to verify EM performance and support correlation between simulation and measurementCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, propulsion, materials, flight test, systems engineering, producibility) to ensure integrated solutions meet performance, manufacturing, and maintainability needsPrepare technical documentation, specifications, design packages, and presentations for internal and customer reviewBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementLevel 3: 5+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical educationLevel 4: 9+ years of related work experience and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education3+ years of hands-on experience working with electrical/electromagnetic engineering materials and technologiesPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):Understanding of electromagnetic principles relevant to aircraft systemsExperience using computational electromagnetic (CEM) solvers (SENTRI, XPATCH, CARLOS, HFSS, FEKO, or similar) to design, analyze, and optimize various systemsExperience with full-platform RCS prediction workflows and multi-physics (electromagnetics + thermal/structural) trade studiesExperience correlating CEM predictions with laboratory and range measurement dataExperience with advanced propulsion concepts and associated LO challengesFamiliarity with materials processing, application methods, environmental durability, and repair/maintenance impacts of LO treatmentsExperience with CAD tools and model preparation for electromagnetic simulationStrong technical communication skills, including written reports and oral presentationsAbility to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks to meet program schedules
