Paraprofessional (Low Incidence)
School: Edgebrook Elementary School
Reports To: Building Principal
Certification: Current and valid paraprofessional license
Requirements:
- 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining paraprofessional license
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Terms of employment: 175 day full time
Start date: August 18, 2026
Minimum qualifications/required skills:
- Current and valid paraprofessional license
- Ability to promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol
- Candidates with CPI training preferred or willing to train
- Ability to work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration
- Positive attitude and dependability a must
- Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs
Pay and benefits: $17.50/hour starting plus benefits
The district can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience
