Loss Mitigation Specialist

To mitigate potential losses on delinquent loans, the full-time Illinois Licensed Loss Mitigation Specialist will manage loan files, evaluate borrower financial situations, and negotiate terms with various stakeholders while adhering to required protocols. Key responsibilities Manage cases of loss mitigation loan files within required timelines and protocols Evaluate borrower application packages to determine financial circumstances and capacity to pay Negotiate terms with mortgagors, real estate brokers, attorneys, and clients Required qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 1+ years' experience in mortgage underwriting Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Excel, and loan servicing platforms Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex tasks in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills to interact professionally with internal and external audiences
