Location: Alpena, MI

Contract: 13 weeks

Shift: 12 hours Night shift

Pay Package: Stipend $1162 weekly non Taxable On w2

$458 / Taxable Total Gross $1620 / weekly on 36 hours

Roles and Responsibility

• Assessment and Evaluation:
• Conduct patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy.
• Evaluate the patient's cardiopulmonary function.
• Treatment Planning:
• Develop and implement respiratory care plans based on patient assessments.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions:
• Administer a variety of respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, bronchodilator therapy, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage mechanical ventilation for patients in critical care settings.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and home care.
• Instruct patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment, such as inhalers and home ventilators.
• Monitoring and Documentation:
• Monitor patients' responses to respiratory therapies and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond to emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests or respiratory failure.
• Provide life support, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.
• Diagnostic Testing:
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Collaborate with physicians to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders.
