Long-Term Substitute Resource Room Teacher (High School)
Mid-August - Early October
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Instruction and supervision of all students
  • Teach district-approved curriculum
  • Provide a clear purpose for instruction through high student engagement, a knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, and use research-based strategies; understand all forms of assessment and how to use these assessments to drive instruction; provide a positive classroom environment and culture that is conducive for all students to learn, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved
  • Implement Michigan State Standards through effective instructional practices
  • Work as a team member to help our students build success stories
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Help monitor hallways and school grounds
  • Be involved in after-school and extracurricular activities
  • Keep accurate classroom records
  • Attend conferences and workshops to keep current
  • Work as a team member
  • Supervision of students as needed
TEACHING QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Michigan Certification and Endorsement for appropriate grade levels required
  • Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications
