MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruction and supervision of all students
- Teach district-approved curriculum
- Provide a clear purpose for instruction through high student engagement, a knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, and use research-based strategies; understand all forms of assessment and how to use these assessments to drive instruction, provide a positive classroom environment and culture that is conducive for all students to learn, and collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved
- Implement Michigan State Standards through effective instructional practices
- Work as a team member to help our students build success stories
- Help monitor hallways and school grounds
- Be involved in after-school and extra-curricular activities
- Keep accurate classroom records and communicate effectively
- Attend conferences and workshops to keep current on professional development
- Work as a collaborative team member looking to grow as an educator and teacher
- Math Endorsement (EX) for appropriate grade levels preferred
