Logistics Coordinator

Job ResponsibilitiesDispatch carrier trucks, schedule and route drivers, cover back-hauls, and discuss delivery services with internal customersResponsible for ensuring the most efficient freight movement and cost-effective service by working with multiple business units to centralize third party trucking movementsAbility to coordinate drivers locally and across the country with accuracy, respect, and excellent serviceResponsible to ensure compliance with DOT, Safety regulations and Responsible Care requirementsResponsible to meet on-time performance requirementsResolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism by working with a team and independentlyMaintain proper and up-to-date files on carriersAbility to quickly learn and train internal customers and external vendors on Transportation Management SystemDevelop requests for proposals for truck shipments for various segments of the business.
