Logistic coordinator
This is a 5 days On-site Role in the Chicago Area. Candidates mus be located in the Area. No relocation for this one.
Pharma or Chemical experience is MANDATORY for this one
Basic Function:
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Responsible for opening all packages, verifying packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.).
- Enter receipts in system, and alert necessary parties for over shipments, discrepant material, or mismatched picklist. Research items with discrepancies.
- Break down, physically segregate, and move materials into appropriate locations throughout the facility (i.e., warehouse, quarantine, cold storage, etc.), which may include use of drum-dolly, forklift, cart, or pallet jack, and ensure materials are organized and placed in the correct location
- Package and weigh items; print shipping labels and postage.
- Obtain and process product orders (pull, package, and ship).
- Investigate and resolve shipping issues; work with purchasing/accounting, as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems (i.e., IATA, DOT, etc.)
Organization:
- Maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Adhere to all cGMPs and good documentation practices.
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; track orders and paperwork.
- Responsible for weighing, dispensing, and kitting raw materials for production.
- Verify that all necessary materials are correct, present, released and within the expiration period.
- Evaluate expiry reports and partner with quality Control Scientist and Project Manager(s) to disposition material appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of functional areas of warehouse, such as cleaning of the shipping dock/bay and identified storage areas as assigned.
- Responsible for sampling incoming raw materials.
General:
- Maintain relationship with production operators, technicians, and quality control scientist
- Responsible for space management in areas including, but not limited to drum room, quarantine, cage, cold storage and general storage room.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe receiving dock and shipping area – cleaning of cGMP spaces per requirements.
- Perform all duties with the highest regard for safety, always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and be familiar with all Safety data sheets (SDS) sheets
- Accept additional responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Able to use a computer and other office technology.
- Must be able to read inventory lists, to match the correct product with the label.
- Able to reconcile inventory
- Attend to detail to identify defective products
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Practical knowledge of Inventory and ERP Systems
- Must be able to operate power industrial trucks
- Knowledge of UPS and FedEx computers and procedures.
- Hazardous material and DOT certificate.
- Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
