About the Role
Axle Logistics in Knoxville, TN is hiring a full‑time Logistics Consultant.
What you'll do
As a Logistics Consultant, you will be involved in sales, customer service, and the management of your customers' freight needs. You collaborate with carrier partners and shippers, overseeing the full lifecycle of each shipment in your book of business. You provide first‑class customer service, develop long‑term relationships, manage the movement of goods, and act as the liaison among clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers.
To maintain market‑competitive pricing, you conduct contract negotiations, collaborate on pricing strategies, and build a portfolio of clients through high‑volume cold calling. You stay up to date on market conditions and technology through internal and external training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or 4+ years of sales experience.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Ability to travel to meet with potential and existing clients as needed.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Sales‑driven and self‑motivated.
- Willingness to work well within a team.
- Ability to work in person at designated Axle location.
- One year of prior sales experience preferred; operational experience in a 3PL/logistics field is a plus.
