Logistics & Warehouse ManagerWe have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Logistics & Warehouse Manager directs the Shipping and Receiving Facility (SRF) operations to ensure we manage the assets and operations and complete required deliverables to support the customer's mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.Responsibilities:You will manage all packaging and shipping processes for IT equipment, including shipments to remote and challenging overseas locations, adhering to customer and DoS.You are responsible for all logistics and warehouse staff (est 100 FTEs) and warehouse operations. Normal duty hours are from 7:00 A.M.
to 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, with the Government reserving the right to task with extended service hours (up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7)) in the case of an emergency, special project, increased workload, or other event.You will provide all necessary inventory systems and administration of the warehouse and contents.You will administer a Government-approved COTS inventory management software capable of real-time inventory levels, shipping status, automatic packing/inventory lists, and achieving efficiencies.You will also manage various courier, forklift and transportation services, including logistical support for domestic and overseas shipments, as well as transporting to/from various DoS facilities within the NCR.You will be responsible for facility operations and ensure established security measures are adequate and enforced.You will be responsible for scheduling any planned or unplanned maintenance with the on-site staff.You will also be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and inventory control of support consumables.Education and Experience:10+ yearsBachelor's in IT or related fieldSecret Security ClearancePreferred Requirements:ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)Physical Requirements:Sitting for long periodsStanding for long periodsAmbulate throughout an officeAmbulate between several buildingsStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as requiredRepeatedly lift and carry weight up to 40 poundsTravel by land or air transportation 10%.About Empower AI:All hiring and promotion decisions at Empower AI are based on merit to bring the best talent available to contribute to our firm's overall success.
