Job Summary

OBGYN opportunity in Edenton, NC. ECU Health Chowan Hospital and ECU Health Women’s Care-Edenton, located in Edenton, North Carolina are seeking a BC OBGYN to provide hospital call coverage for their established practice. New providers would need to orient day before first shift and or morning of first shift.

Coverage Schedule

• October: 10/2/26 8 am - 10/5/26 8 am
• November: two weekend call coverage; Friday 8 am until Monday 8 am.
• December: 12/18/26 8 am - 12/21/26 8 am

Details

• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Chowan Hospital
• 25-bed hospital
• 100% inpatient clinical care
• Provider must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• LT must respond to the hospital within 20 minutes
• Low Volume Emergency Department (7 beds)
• Epic EMR
• No ICU responsibilities
• LT will not respond to codes
• ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients when needed
• Delivery volume per month is 28-34

Requirements for Extended Coverage

• Current ALSO Certification
• Evidence of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course within the last 2 years
• Current NRP certification (required for ECU Health Community Hospital obstetricians)
