Locums Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Locums NeurosurgeryNurse Practitioner to provide inpatient neurosurgical care in a hospital setting in Boston, MA. This is a patient-care-focused role working alongside neurosurgery residents and the inpatient care team.

Full-time coverage is preferred, butproviders available for a minimum of 2 weeks per month will beconsidered.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week
• 13-hour shifts: 6:00 AM-7:00PM
• Nonights
• Noholidays
• Full-timepreferred; minimum 2 weeks/month considered

Responsibilities

• Provideinpatient neurosurgical care for pediatric patients.
• Beginthe day rounding with neurosurgery residents and reviewing patient plans.
• Evaluatepatients who require in-person assessment and follow-up.
• Review,enter, and manage patient orders.
• Assistwith discharge planning and complete discharge-related orders anddocumentation.
• Coordinatecare with residents, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of themultidisciplinary team.
• Performbedside procedures as appropriate, including removal of Hemovac and JPdrains .
• Provideongoing patient care and clinical management throughout the shift.
• No OR responsibilities ; APPs arededicated to patient care while residents assist with surgical cases.

Requirements

• NursePractitioner with Board Certification in Neurosurgery
• Massachusetts medical license
• Minimum1year of neurosurgery experience
• Inpatientneurosurgical experience required
• Pediatricpatient experience preferred
