We are seeking a LocumsEmergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Thisopportunity offers flexible scheduling in a busy emergency department with amoderate annual patient volume and a collaborative clinical environment.

- 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
- 1:30 PM–10:30PM
- 9:30 PM–6:30 AM
- Annual ED Volume: Approximately22,000 patients
- EMR: Epic
- Dictation: Dragon
- Scribes: None
PatientVolume & Acuity
- Approximately 77% discharge rate
- Approximately 14% admission rate
- Approximately 4% left beforetreatment complete
- Approximately 2.8% observation
- Approximately 2.5% transfer
Responsibilities
- Provide routine emergency medicine careto patients of varying acuity
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patientspresenting to the Emergency Department
- Respond to codes and other emergentsituations
- Perform appropriate emergency proceduresand interventions
- Collaborate with nursing staff,consultants, and other members of the healthcare team
- Locums physicians will have limitedtrauma responsibilities
- Complete accurate and timelydocumentation using Epic and Dragon
Requirements
- Active Iowa medical license
- Active DEA
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLScertifications
- Emergency Medicine experience required
