Locum Vascular Surgeon Opportunity In Youngstown, OH
A leading hospital in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon for a short-term locum assignment. This role provides an opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with high case exposure and comprehensive support.
Practice Highlights
- Coverage Dates: October 3–5 (covering PTO)
- Setting: Hospital-based role with night call coverage
- Average 10 cases/day across adult and geriatric patients
- Full complement of ancillary staff available
- 2 operating rooms dedicated to vascular cases
- EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level: Level 1 with annual ER volume of 250K
Procedures & Skills Required
- Vascular Surgery: Aneurysm repairs (thoracic, abdominal, peripheral), vascular access devices, AV shunt
- Endovascular Surgery: Carotid artery stenting, bypass surgery, aortofemoral bypass, stenting, reconstruction for deep vein occlusions
- Treatment of Lymphedema and Gangrene of the limbs
- Peripheral Artery Disease management
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified / FACS – Required
- Active OH License – Required (no exceptions)
- DEA, BLS, ACLS – Required
Schedule & Coverage
- Call Schedule: Night call with 50% call ratio
- Credentialing: Standard locum credentialing requirements
