Setting: OBGYN Hospital/Call with potential for clinic coverage. Must be willing and able to cover both to be considered. If taking clinic, night call would not be required after clinic days.

• Sep 4-6, 10, 14, 18-20, 24, 28
• Oct 5, 12, 16-18, 22, 26
• Nov 2, 9, 20-23, 27, 30
• Dec 7, 17, 21, 25-27, 29, 31
• Ongoing availability is needed, working through dates now.

Call Ratio and Staffing

Call ratio: 1 to 4

Total number of beds: 9 in L&D and 20 postpartum

Number of Physicians in practice: 4

Support Staff: OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, 3 to 4 nurses each shift

Average number of nursery admissions per day: 2 to 3 per day

Average call back per 24hr shift: less than 1, will receive calls from answering service.

Clinical Responsibilities

EMR: EPIC

Procedures required: C‑section, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, abnormal bleeding. MFM will handle most high‑risk patients. Also unreferred patients and the Laborist will take care of those patients in the hospital for deliveries and rounding.
