• OB emergency department sees approx. 2,700 patients per year
• Average daily census — L&D: ~5, postpartum: ~9, OB ED: 8 – 11
• Primary C-section rate approx. 25%
• Performs deliveries, manages labor, and covers OB/GYN emergencies
• Collaborates with private-practice OB/GYN physicians, family doctors, midwives
