Job Description

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician for a high-paying locum tenens assignment in North Carolina.

The physician will work 12‑hour day or night shifts in a 22-bed emergency department with approximately 32,000-34,000 annual visits. The coverage model consists of one attending physician supported by two NP/PAs providing split coverage. Physicians typically personally manage approximately 18-20 patients during a 12‑hour shift.

This opportunity pays $325 per hour/$3,900 per 12‑hour shift , which is higher than the currently advertised competing rate for the same assignment. There is no call. Hospital‑owned apartment accommodations are provided, and approved transportation expenses may be reimbursed up to the facility’s $500 aggregate travel cap.

Candidates must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and already enrolled in North Carolina Medicaid and PECOS.
