Locum Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Critical Care

Job Overview

We are hiring Pediatric Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to support a Children’s Hospital in Texas during the expansion of their Pediatric ICU.

Responsibilities

• Perform lumbar punctures, femoral central venous line placement, peripheral arterial line placement, pigtail chest tube insertion, and intubation.
• Manage ventilators including Servo, LTV, and Trilogy models.
• Work full‑time coverage of 12+ shifts every four weeks, or at least 6 shifts.
• Shift schedule includes day, night, holiday and weekend shifts, each 13 hours in length.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of pediatric critical care advanced practice provider experience in a 40‑bed PICU (or equivalent).
• Texas licensure in hand or in process; emergency credentialing within 2 months.

Compensation & Benefits

1099 hourly rate of $100–120 per hour.

Palm Health covers malpractice insurance, lodging, travel, rental car, and mileage.

Locum assignment starts at 13 weeks with a definite extension for 9–12 months.

Travel, rental car and lodging expenses are paid.
