Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Ob/Gyn

As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a vital role in our staffing solutions, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care without interruption. You'll work alongside skilled professionals, engaging in a variety of clinical responsibilities and participating in community health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
• Perform routine exams, screenings, and assessments
• Deliver babies and manage labor and delivery
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Participate in health education and community outreach programs
• Adhere to the highest standards of medical care and ethics
• Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in Ob/Gyn

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Currently licensed to practice in California
• Board certified/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Prior experience in a locum or staffing role is preferred
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Schedule: 8a-8a, 24-hour in-house call

Level III NICU

Setting: Inpatient

Patient Demographic: Mostly low-risk, underserved populations

Average Monthly Volume: 60-65 deliveries, with 25-30% C-section rate

Required Procedures: Vaginal deliveries and C-sections

Support Staff: Ultrasonographer and 24/7 anesthesia coverage

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

Additional Required Certifications: DEA, BLS, ACLS

Bilingual providers preferred
