Position Overview
Both clinic duties and call coverage are required, with a call expectation of 1:2. Involves managing new and established patient visits.
Work Schedule
The position entails an 8-hour workday, Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities. This is structured as an ongoing commitment of two weeks per month.
Clinical Cases and Procedures
Responsibilities include outpatient clinic work, inpatient rounding, and interpretation of imaging and diagnostic tests. The procedures may vary based on the physician’s specialty and experience level, including but not limited to:
- Diagnostic catheterizations (optional)
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
- Cardioversions
- Loop implantations and explantations
Performing diagnostic catheterizations is optional but not mandatory. The role will support 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) but does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Technology Utilization
The position utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and Dragon for dictation software.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold ACLS and BLS certifications and be board certified/board eligible (BC/BE). Proctoring may be necessary, contingent on the procedures and interpretations performed.
Case Logs
Candidates should provide documentation of 50 clinical cases performed in the last 12 months, including 25 TEEs within that same timeframe.
Licensing Considerations
Will consider candidates with IMLC or those awaiting licensure.
