Clinical Responsibilities
Call coverage options: primarily based in Clare with no OB call requirements. Expected response time within 1 hour.
Call schedule: 1:3 ratio with 1-2 holidays covered annually.
Weeknight call coverage until 11 PM.
Weekend call 7 AM – 11 PM.
Work schedule: Monday-Friday; 8‑hour shifts from 06:30 to 15:00. Operates under an independent model.
Start date: August 17, 2026.
Orientation: 1-2 business days for orientation and proctoring.
Weekly schedule: Monday-Friday; 8‑hour shifts from 06:30 to 15:00.
Cases and Procedures
Scope of practice includes routine laparoscopic abdominal procedures, ophthalmology (cataract surgeries), podiatry (4 days/month), orthopedics (½ day/month with block scheduling), vascular (occasionally 1 day/month), cardiology (TEEs and cardioversions), and surgical procedures requiring general anesthesia, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), and optional regional blocks (training available).
GI cases located solely at Gladwin; inpatient 10-20%, outpatient 80-90% of workload.
EMR and Documentation
Uses EPIC for electronic medical records and dictation.
Required Qualifications
Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS.
Case logs: Must have provided CRNA-related services to at least 75 patients within the past 12 months.
Licensure Considerations
Must hold a Michigan license exclusively; IMLC consideration is an option, but not required.
