Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Stepdown Unit
• Schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Day Shift
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Dates: September 14, 2026 – December 13, 2026
• Department: 12-bed Stepdown Unit Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly
• Orientation Pay: Please note that the pay schedule is bi-weekly and during the orientation, you will be paid 50% of your pay rate.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 12-bed Stepdown Unit at Providence Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have strong stepdown/acute care experience and be comfortable caring for patients who require close monitoring and a higher level of nursing care.

Qualifications/Initial Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Active DCI/BVP
• Previous Stepdown/Acute Care experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment.
