Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, including contrast-enhanced studies
- Responsible for patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to each exam
- Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy to ensure all necessary anatomical structures are captured
- Administer contrast media per protocol under radiologist or physician supervision and educate patients on contrast safety
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
- Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with CT technology and techniques
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting
- Associate's degree required
- Active BLS (AHA) certification required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (R)(CT) certification preferred
- State licensure required if applicable
- Proficiency with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment operation
- Experience with contrast administration and contrast injector operation
- Proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
